Alec Johnson, AIA

Mr. Johnson is a California licensed architect and Principal of Alec Johnson Architecture. In addition, he is a full time faculty in the Design Department (Interior Architecture) at California State University Long Beach.  He graduated with a Bachelors of Architecture from SCI_ARC, [Southern California Institute of Architecture] and studied at the Hochschule Fur Angewandte Kunst Wein, Austria [School for Applied Arts] under renowned architect Coop Himmeb(l)au. His experience ranges from complex medical centers, educational facilities, commercial interiors and custom residential. He was part of the architectural team that renovated the Getty Villa in Malibu, Ca. and the Greek Theater in Hollywood, Ca. Alec co-authored a book entitled Building Code Quick Reference Guide:  A Schematic Building Design Timesaver.  He is a recipient of the American Institute of Architects Distinguished Service Award, Long Beach/South Bay (Cabrillo) Chapter.
