The REDI Speaker Series aims to improve our practice and make it more inclusive by creating a spotlight for those who are traditionally underrepresented in our field.

Program description:

Angele Robinson-Gaylord

We are excited to welcome Angele Robinson-Gaylord and our AIA community to join our REDI monthly meeting on November 7th at 11:00am.

At RDC we believe in supporting equity goals both in our project outcomes and in our internal processes.  To that end, RDC formed the REDI committee in 2020 and we have been holding a monthly check in to come together to discuss current events, share what we are reading/learning about, and plan for upcoming volunteer/fundraising opportunities, because it was not enough to have one town hall in 2020 and move on.  While this has mostly been an internal company forum, we are exploring opportunities to expand.

We are fortunate to be joined by Angele, Senior VP of Store Development and Design at Starbucks, so she can share her story of navigating her own career path from law through to working in commercial real estate, to now be leading a retail store development for retail brands which includes leading their teams of designers!  Join us to hear, from her perspective and the motivation than can come from being told no!
