APC26 celebrates the art of architectural photography and recognizes outstanding images that interpret architecture through composition\, light\, materiality\, and place. \n\n\n\nCategories\n\n\n\n\nExterior – Buildings and the built environment from the outside\n\n\n\nInterior – Interior spaces and architectural details\n\n\n\nRegional Focus* – Architecture located within the AIA Long Beach/South Bay chapter boundaries; click on the map to see our chapter boundaries.\n\n\n\nPeople’s Choice – All entries automatically qualify\n\n\n\n\nWe invite photographs that reveal the power of architecture through thoughtful composition\, light\, texture\, scale\, and human experience. Whether capturing a dramatic exterior\, an intimate interior\, or a meaningful place within our region\, the strongest entries will offer a compelling visual interpretation of the built environment. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSubmission Highlights\n\n\n\n\nOriginal photographs only\n\n\n\nBuilt environment subjects\n\n\n\nEnter one category per image\n\n\n\nMultiple entries welcome\n\n\n\n5 MB maximum upload size**\n\n\n\nWinners provide high-resolution files\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nEntry Fees\n\n\n\n\nAIA Members: $25\n\n\n\nStudents: $10\n\n\n\nNon-Members: $35\n\n\n\n\nJudging focuses on the photographic image—not the architecture itself. \n\n\n\nFinal day to submit: October 31 by 11:59 pm! \n\n\n\nWinners announced December 2026. \n\n\n\n*Regional Focus entries may also be considered for inclusion as a rendering in the 2027 Color Your City architecture coloring book\, with photographer credit. \n\n\n\n**Winning photographers will be asked to provide a print-quality high-resolution image.
