2022 Organization Bylaws Update

Presented for a vote by the Secretary of the Long Beach/South Bay Component of the American Institute of Architects at the Annual Meeting to be held on December 1, 2022, 6 pm, at The Crac Brewery, 117 E 162nd Street, Carson, California 90248:

Update to the Bylaws of the AIA Long Beach/South Bay

In 2021, the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors commenced with a thorough review of the organization’s Bylaws to ensure that the document properly reflected current law and AIA component processes. This task included reviewing and incorporating applicable sections of the AIA Model Bylaws for California Chapters.

The subsequent proposed Bylaws update was submitted to the AIA national office in-house counsel for review, which was returned with edits to be made and commentary. The required edits were made, and further discussion was held, resulting in the document respectfully submitted to the membership for approval.

Any questions pertaining to the Bylaw update may be directed to the AIA LBSB Executive Director, Kristine Hammond.

Thank you!
